Formulated by renowned perfumer Julian Bedel and his Fueguia 1833 laboratory in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fargesia is AFL's signature eau de toilette. “I am inspired to make the emotion of the spaces that I design tangible,” said Fu. “And I believe that a scent is the best way to capture the tactile essence of my works. The vision is to build a collective of scents that are aroused from the key materials featured in my spaces.”

Fargesia is the a type of Asian bamboo, a material that is close to my heart and have been featured in several of my signature projects,” Fu explained with a wide-eyed enthusiasm. “I am eager for the nose of the scent to be crisp, poetic and sensuous.”

The scent is created in small batches with an artisanal approach using entirely natural ingredients and has been created with both men and women in mind. "Besides the green, earthy aspects of Fargesia bamboo, I wanted to create a chord by adding a very special spicy ingredient which is the Sichuan pepper and a distillation of a unique type of South American ginger and tangy citrus notes which reflects Fu’s Asian sensibility” said Bedel.
